Canon PRINT Business Description

With the Canon PRINT Business iOS app, you can now print documents, save to cloud storage, and read data on a Canon laser printer from your iPhone or iPad.

Print anything you want including images, documents, photos, pages, and more. You can even capture images with the help of a camera. Extract files and create PDFs through your device. Scan and connect to devices around you and print instantly.

Pros

Check the print settings and adjust them to your liking so that you always get the best results. You can even check the status of a printer and other devices through the Remote UI.

Cons

Sometimes the Canon PRINT Business app doesn’t really print according to the settings laid out. There are some in-app purchases and ads that create an obstacle for users.

From note buried deep inside the internal Help Page ' NOTE You cannot start Canon PRINT Business directly from Safari and print. Copy the URL from Safari, then paste the URL into the [Web] screen of this app to display and print the web page. ' I bought an expensive Canon printer to use with my iPad. It is compatible, but Requires every page of every web site to be cut and pasted to an internal web browser. No automation possible. Canon buries that restriction deep inside the Help comments. Canon sold this as an iPad wireless printer. It is a good printer, scanner, copier, fax, but a lousy companion for my thousand dollar iPad Air 2. Now I have to return it because they misrepresented their printer. Plus the internal web browser is blocked by every web site requiring a log in. A Disaster!

Works great on my iPad. I am finally able to print to the BIG Canon laser printer at my KW real estate office. It connects directly with my Google Drive. You need to open whatever document you want to print from WITHIN this application. It does NOT add a printer that you can select from the normal print menu in other applications. It was able to find the Canon printer on the company's wifi network, I entered my company username and password, and then all was good. Asks for permission to sync up with my google drive. I navigate to the PDF I want, open from within this app, and send the file to the printer. Even allows you to select the special multipurpose tray when you are using your own paper stock. I love it. Now I don't have to log onto the company PC just to print some flyers or such.

This app is very nice for what I need it for… to be able to quickly put a document or two on my Canon Imageclass MF212W and scan them directly to my phone. Works very nice for that. I don't need it to print with… I can just use Apple's built-in air print, or whatever it's called. The one issue I saw immediately was that if I link this app to my Dropbox account (to save images I've scanned to my phone) anybody with access to my phone can open this app and root through my private files on Dropbox. No password needed. Just open the app. This app desperately needs to have at least an option for using a pass code or fingerprint scan for security. Let it suffice to say, I unlinked my Dropbox account from this app. Other than the lack of security options, this app meets my needs.
