Bonjour! Now you can learn French and play games simultaneously. With 9 addictive games designed for essential vocab & conversation skills, MindSnacks’ French app is perfect for adults, kids, students and travelers who wants to read, write and speak one of the world’s most beautiful languages.

Instead of snooze-worthy flashcards, we keep things interesting with rich and unique games designed to help memorize words, practice verb conjugation, and learn word gender. Plus, native speaker audio clips will help make those tough French pronunciations as breezy as a walk through Paris.

Download the first lesson totally free and if you want more, go ahead and upgrade to get a whopping 50 full lessons and 40+ hours of content. As if that wasn’t enough, scientists now agree that the English language sounds 100% more romantic when spoken in French.

“I have the French MindSnacks app on my iPod and I just love it! My roommate has the Portuguese app and to be honest...there are nights when we turn the TV off and spend an hour just MindSnacking!”

“I haven't had this much fun learning since I was a kid! The games are really engaging and they all target different yet essential skills for learning a new language.”

At MindSnacks we like to keep it fun, but we’re serious about learning. That’s why our French app includes 9 challenging games designed by Ivy League professors. Each game teaches a specific aspect of the language, creating a well-rounded learning experience for both kids and adults that goes far beyond basic vocabulary flashcards.

Of course studying is only worth if it works, so our unique algorithm reinforces the learning process using proven methods from the field of memory studies. Over time, the games adapt to your individual performance, selectively repeating French words, phrases and grammatical points with which you’ve previously struggled. In other words, as you learn French, the app learns about you for a more effective learning experience.

Perfect for beginning and intermediate learners, MindSnacks is like a helpful new French teacher that fits right in your purse, pocket or ever-fashionable fanny pack. You’ll soon spend less time looking at that French dictionary, which means you’ll have more time on that French vacation to gaze up at the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe.

Love the lessons. Bought the $20 "all access pass" for my first child. So we got all the languages & all the lessons. The game tracks your progress and sends you reminders & word of the day. It's great. Why only 2 stars? $$$$$$$!! Tried to add second child as a player/learner to the same app. Mindsnacks requires a second email and ANOTHER $20 pass for the SAME APP! Bought a second $20 pass. Wanted to add myself to play/learn language along w my kids…yup, I need to pay ANOTHER $20 OR I only get the "numbers" lesson WITHIN THE SAME APP (and I needed a 3rd email address.) I can't find a way to just add myself to the French lessons only either-for another $4.99. It's "All Access" or nothing. I already bought this app twice. To Developer: Sorry, but small children DON'T HAVE EMAIL! Can't a parent just use one email and you list everyone in that same email? So, ultimately $60 for our "all access pass" …Not so great. Guess I won't set up another "all access pass" for myself because $40 is already too much for any app, even an "all access pass".

I love mindsnack a lot and this is the third time I bought their pull lessons (SAT, Spanish, now French). I don't understand why people are complaining and being bitter over paying $5! Really? It is well worth it and very cheap. Along with this app, I took four years of French in high school and I am taking advanced classes. I keep this app in my phone in case I need to do any review to jog back my memory or to play for fun. I love this app. The only thing I would suggest is a part two or more lesson plans. I know it's too advanced, but it would be nice to include subjunctive and passé composé verbs. Also, they should add a lesson for being injured so you know how to say "I have a headache" (J'ai mal à la tête). That's all. Thank you!!:)

Love this app. It engages the user in many different ways so that you can learn in different styles. It teaches vocabulary, spelling, phrases, visual recognition. There are games that challenge you in many different ways. There is clear audio of pronunciation and visual representations of the vocabulary. I love it. It also makes learning fun but setting all the lessons in a gaming environment. You level up and unlock new types of games. I wish there was a way to select different types of quizzing based on subjects in the past that you've "mastered" but no longer feel confident in. Basically I wish there was a way to customize reviews/quizzing by choosing the past lessons you want to be covered.
