Prodigy Math Game: Edutainment for Kids Review

Review Standarts
Our main goal is to provide full and useful app reviews. Our authors strictly follow the rules: minimum 15 hours of the real app usage experience or gameplay, test on main Android and iOS versions, test on phones and tablets.

Prodigy Math Game is a masterpiece of edutainment: a game that’s fun to play and a method to figure out problem sections of school math. If you want to help your child or student with math, you can download Prodigy Math Game to their Android or iOS devices and watch them proceed and succeed.

Graphics – 4/5
Read More

The visuals of the game are more decent than one could expect. Instead of primitive gamified learning course, we have a really attractive RPG, with monsters and magic, spells and wands, progress and assistance, and math as an integral part of all that grandness drawn in a bit obsolete, but still impressive manner. Of course, it doesn’t shine with the grandness of commercial projects, but its mission is different.

Gameplay – 5/5

It’s not just RPG-styled: in fact, it is an RPG with math incorporated as the main combat method. First, the player should select the character – a boy or a girl, and then customize his or her appearance. Then you can select the world you’d like to play in; the app recommends selecting the one your friends are playing currently, so you can join forces.

Your character attends the Academy of magic, but there are monsters on the way there, so battles are inevitable. In order to win, you must upgrade your skills by completing courses or quests. Math is required in both. Each attack of yours requires solving a simple problem that can concern any section of school math.

The further you go, the more skills you learn, and the more problems you need to solve to get that, learning concepts, principles, methods, and tricks while playing. The game can be adjusted to a school program that differs in some states, and this flexibility makes it an even better edutainment tools. It doesn’t affect the character’s progress, as the score you earn remains.

Controls – 5/5

It’s as simple as it should be for a game concentrating on solving mathematical problems. Tap to select from the menu, enter the answer when prompted, select the name from the available list, and so on. The game requires no combos or complicated gestures, it doesn’t try your timing or response. All you need to do is tap where you’re required and – the most principally – do the calculation and give correct answers.

Replay Value – 4/5

Like in most PRGs, replaying earlier levels isn’t that much fun when you’ve been through them. But Prodigy is a special sort of game. Sometimes players will need to replay some levels to make sure they have mastered all the sections of math. So this game’s replay value is not only about fun. It sounds funny to force yourself through levels of an RPG, but life is full of paradoxes, just like math.

The Bottom Line

It’s one of the edutainment masterpieces, so popular that it’s officially recognized as an assisting tool in many schools. It’s free, and registration can be done with Google or Apple accounts, but you can also go to the teacher to sync your Prodigy progress.

When I log on I think hey maybe just maybe they changed it to the BETTER VERSION, NICER VERSION of the character look. But noooooo you guys (the game creators) don't care about what I THINK AND WHAT OTHERS THINK ABOUT THE HORRIBLE LOOK OF THE CHARACTER it's the truth and I'm very sorry I just don't want to lie because this is where you put your true thoughts about this game!!!!It's been 1 year like come on! P.S: one tiny little star because you people don't seem to care about what the players think, and because you need the membership for every thing!
