GoMeals Review

If you have a health condition like diabetes, information about what you eat can be important. GoMeals® was developed to help you make healthy lifestyle choices at home or on the go. GoMeals includes tools for eating healthy, staying active, and tracking your blood glucose levels.

GoMeals is more than a calorie counter. With nutritional values for your favorite foods and restaurant menu items powered by the CalorieKing™ food database, search thousands of foods and dishes from popular restaurants, grocery stores and the items you have in your own kitchen to easily see the nutritional value (i.e., calories, carbohydrates, fats, protein, etc.) of the foods you eat. Even sync the data you enter in your Fitbit account with GoMeals.

With the activity tracker, GoMeals lets you calculate the number of calories you burn. Select a physical activity and your intensity level. You can save your favorite activities into a customized workout and even link your Fitbit account to GoMeals so the calories your burn automatically sync.
If you have diabetes, you may be checking your blood sugar levels several times a day. GoMeals offers you a handy place to record and view your numbers. Track your highs and lows. And with meal and exercise tags, you'll have a handy log of your readings to share with your physician.

Discover restaurants in your area with GoMeals. The app will even show you which restaurants are closest and map the location. With a database of over 20,000 restaurant items, you can make healthy eating choices before you even step in the door.

When you log in with a free GoMeals account, you get the added benefit of backing up your history and favorites to our cloud network. And if you use GoMeals on multiple devices or on the Web (with GoMeals Online) your data will be waiting for you!
Manage your nutrition and exercise, and give yourself the tools and information you need to manage diabetes. Even if you don't have diabetes, you'll still find GoMeals as a great resource.

In addition to customer support on Twitter you can contact us via email to get your GoMeals questions answered.

2016: I have sent numerous app critiques and suggestions. I don't see Sanofi's commitment to you motive the app. I have provided numerous, detailed product improvement suggestions and have, apparently, fallen on deaf ears. I love the app, but it lacks apparent corporate commitment. 11/3/17: App is still great for diabetes patients, but the platform lacks commitment. There are NUMEROUS issues that I have reported that affect the performance, but all I get from SANFOI is “we are aware and have reported it to our developers”. This app does everything a diabetes patient needs to assist in managing his disease, but I question whether there is corporate commitment to making the app as effective as possible.

This app was recommended to my wife by her doctor. When we went to register, however, the app said we didn't have a valid email address, even though we were using our regular personal email address. The app apparently does not except single letter domain addresses (q.com), even though they are legal by all DNS and ICANN rules. When I contacted them about their poorly designed app, they advised me to get a new email address. My advise to them is to hire smarter developers. I will not use this app, and based on their development skills and attitude, want nothing to do with the company providing this app or ANY of the products they peddle.

Why is using this app so confusing? Why is everything organized by brand name? Who in the world remembers the brand of orange juice they drank that morning? If I try typing "orange juice" the first few results that I click on specify the serving sizes in terms of "containers"--who drinks a whole container of orange juice?! This app used to be really useful and simple to use about 1.5 years ago, now all of a sudden it's way too overly complicated and dense (which makes the app super slow to run on the phone, by the way). I think you should revert back to the more basic form of the app and leave it at that.
