I have been shopping at ModCloth for years, and I've always been please with their prompt return credit, customer service and selection of product. However, within the past two months, I have had the following issues: 1- LOST STORE CREDIT: After a purchase with partial store credit and partial PayPal failed to process for no reason, $60 worth of my store credit disappeared. There was no problem with funds through my PayPal account. Shortly after this transaction failed to process, one of the items I attempted to order became unavailable. 2- CUSTOMER SERVICE: After the aforementioned incident, I attempted to log on multiple times to purchase items with my credit, which continued to not appear. I submitted an email help request and received no response. After 3 days, I called ModCloth. I waited 15 minutes to hear a voice, and then the representative put me on hold for another 10 until her manager "cleared" her to return my remaining store credit to me. She was unapologetic and dismissive. If I hadn't called, my credit would have disappeared, and it wasn't even my fault that the original order failed to process-- AND caused my credit to disappear. 3-PROCESSING: My store credit did appear when I returned to purchase an item. I proceeded through the ordering process. There was a small difference between the store credit and total amount. I attempted (again) to use my PayPal account to pay the difference. This time, ModCloth charged the ENTIRE order to my Paypal account and failed to process my store credit. Now I have to call customer service AGAIN. Additionally, I returned several items, and it took over a month for the credit to appear, which was unusual for ModCloth. I don't know if it's because of the change in ownership, but I am concerned about the ordering and returns process. I have always enjoyed the selection and quality and ease of returning items with ModCloth, but I am now reluctant to continue purchasing from them considering the recent issues. I would be cautious if you-- like me-- prefer to shop online and trust you can return unwanted items. ModCloth has recently been inconsistent and unreliable with their returns.

Now that I've gotten used to the update from the blue theme to the red/orange theme the app is still pretty good and functional. There are a few glitches that may or may not be fixable, but overall it works well. The glitches are these: 1) no more "coming soon section" 2) search results come up with some non-related products and sometimes they get stuck & I have to re-search 3) I haven't figured out how to make several wishlists so I can organize better - shoes, dresses, jewelry, etc 4) any order history from last year (2016) is gone 5) even though I have posted reviews before on the site, the app says I haven't posted any reviews Other than these glitches I love Modcloth

This used to be my favorite app. I would check it everyday just to look at the new arrivals and would buy once something really caught my eye. Now, while at least it's semi functional (let's try not to think about their previous app fiasco), their app has lost some of its primary features. I can't even tell what's on sale. Sure it's in sale section, but you click on it and it looks like the same price to me. It doesn't say how much it was marked down or anything! But I have noticed the jump in prices. It's upsetting to see them slowly go up when it was already pretty pricy to begin with, but hey if it's really cute it might be worth it as long as you don't expect a correlated increase in quality cause it's the same old stuff!
