Amazon Music: Nothing But Music Review
Amazon Music is a cross-platform service for music streaming. You can use it to get all the most recent releases as soon as they are published and download them to listen offline. It’s also a convenient online radio. You can download Amazon Music for iOS or Android devices.
Functionality – 4.5/5
Amazon Music app allows you to stream and download unlimited hours of music of all existing genres. You can use the app to stream with a monthly subscription, or purchase tracks and albums separately to get lifetime access to them. Unfortunately, Amazon Music doesn’t provide you with free podcasts, so you’ll need another app to listen to your favorite shows.
Design – 5/5
Amazon Music latest version presents the same user interface for iOS and Android users. It’s much different from Apple Music and Google Play Music. You can browse for music by user-generated charts, new releases, personal recommendation, stations, and popular playlists. The player bar at the bottom allows you to see which artist is playing by a minimized cover art. It also allows you to switch to recents, Alexa, and library in a single tap.
Usability – 4.5/5
For this Amazon Music review, we compared the app with leading music services, such as Play Music and Apple Music. All these apps allow you to stream unlimited hours of music with subscription and download it. Unlike its competitors, Amazon Music provides you with direct Alexa integration that’s highly convenient for drivers. You can control the entire app with your voice anywhere you go.
The audio quality of Amazon Music is the same as on other services. The only drawback of the app is that it doesn’t provide you with any free features like ad-powered radio and podcasts. You have to get other apps for that. On the other hand, you can listen to the radio and quality compilations with a subscription.
Cross-platform use – 5/5
You can install Amazon Music on iOS 11.0+ and Android 5.0+ smartphones and tablets. There’s also a web app that allows you to access your library on any computer. All your added playlists, purchases, and favorites will be synchronized automatically.
Amazon Music free app allows you to try the Unlimited plan in terms of the 30-days trial. After this period, all features become paid. You can listen to music using the subscription, or by purchasing songs and albums separately to save them for a lifetime.
The Bottom Line
Amazon Music is an excellent service for those users who need only music streaming features. It offers high-quality audio in all genres and periods, so it’s easy to find what you like. Integrated Alexa will help you to browse hands-free at home and while driving. It’s one of the biggest music libraries on the market so far.Collapse
