Apple Music Review: Apples Are The Only Fruit Review
Apple Music is a music and video streaming service app developed by well-known IT giant Apple Inc. It provides you access to more than 50 millions of songs and terabytes of video files. Apple Music download option has recently become available for Android users, while iOS devices owners have this app by default.
Functionality – 5/5
The main function of the Apple Music app is to stream songs from the catalog. You can either listen to them online or download them if you want to stay in touch even when you are offline. Also, you have an option of playlist creation, according to your music tastes and preferable genres. The Apple Music app can create a recommendation list for you as well, analyzing previous search entries. These features are applicable not only for music but for video content too.
Design – 5/5
Just imagine the world, where Apple products would have a bad design. It is hard enough, doesn’t it? Design is a visit card of Apple Inc., and the Apple Music app is another proof of that. It uses a classic white background with calm red color for lettering. The user interface is smart and well-knitted: every single element is in the right place, so you don’t have to waste your time searching for the needed function.
Usability – 5/5
Usability is another permanent egg in the basket of Apple digital products. Smart functions have to be accompanied by brilliant solutions in order to bring the best user experience. And Apple developers know the exact way how to correspond to this rule. First of all, the app seems to have no critical bugs. And if such appear, the dev team is always on duty to build new update and fix everything. Secondly, all the functions work correctly: the search engine is smart, streaming broadcast operates without delays, pages open without glitches, and so on.
The Apple Music app can be easily managed without any technical skills and previous experience. As we said above, the app can manage everything for you, e.g. create playlists according to your preferences, choose interesting content to show you on the main page, etc. Summarizing the usability topic, it can be described as follows: the app takes you by your hand, as a beloved child, and follows you on your journey to the world of digital art.
Cross-platform use – 3.5/5
Both Android and iOS versions of the app have the same functions implemented in full. However, there are some issues with old Android devices which can’t meet the app requirements. Also, some Android users complain about the lack of certain functions that are available on iOS (for example, sorting by date). And there are obviously some issues with subscription policies for Android users.
Apple Music is a service that initially was created for iOS users, who are familiar with paid digital products. Not long ago the app became available for Android users, but we don’t think this friendship will be prolific. The Apple Music app is distributed on a free basis, but you can use it without any costs only for the first three months. There is a huge amount of Android apps that provide the same functions for free on the market. But, if you already have the iCloud account and Android device, you can easily connect them to gain access to your music.
The Apple Music app paves a way on the Google Apps market; with its own problems, but with the courage to face and fix them. It is a good streaming app, but you have to be ready for the in-app purchases. You can download Apple Music from the catalog and give it a shot with a trial period option.Collapse
Apple Music is a useful app for a reasonable price in the form of in-app purchases.
Pros : Huge catalog of music/video content;
Smart playlist generation;
Cons : Inapp purchases might confuse you;
Android app has problems in the case of old and rare devices.
Cross-platform use 3.5
Average : 4.6
