Music Launcher with Notification Center Widget Review

From Cromulent Labs, makers of the popular Launcher app/widget comes Music Launcher, the next must-have app for iOS that puts your favorite music at your fingertips. When you install it, you get a Today Widget which can be added to Notification Center on your iPhone or iPad so that it's always just one swipe away!

Put all of your favorite playlists, songs, albums, podcasts and audiobooks in your Music Launcher widget and then play them instantly right from the Notification Center. Unlike the dock or home screen, Notification Center can always be accessed with one swipe even if you're in an app, an app folder or even the lock screen.

- Handy music controls to pause/skip and repeat/shuffle in widget (Pro Version only)
- See currently playing song info in widget (Pro Version only)
- Option to hide labels and reduce the size of launchers for a more compact view (Pro Version only)
- Innovative auto-setup of music launchers which will set up launchers for your favorite music.
- Incredibly easy setup and editing of launchers. Just a few taps and you're done.
- Easy to edit and reorder your track lists after initial setup.
- Many different icon choices so that you can configure each launcher just how you like it.

All of this is available for free! Upgrade to the Pro Version (with an in-app purchase) to enable 3 or more rows of launchers and add music controls in the widget. Please support further development on the app by buying the Pro Version today.

Note that this app and widget only work with music on your iPhone or iPad (or in iTunes Match) that is playable through the built-in Apple Music app. It does NOT integrate with any third party music services such as Spotify, Rdio, Pandora, iTunes Radio, or

Too simple... We should be able to select an entire playlist from our library We should be able to search for podcasts and iTunes Radio stations We should be able to add Pandora/Spotify/Beats/iTunes Radio stations. Also, I'm unwilling to pay for the upgrade on such a limited app without the ability to check it out in its entirety. Maybe you should allow us to sample all of the controls and music info. I'm not being a cheapskate, I just like to test drive before I buy. Especially with an app with such limited functionality. It would be nice to see what the app is capable of and just jam out and see if it's an enjoyable experience. Not having all of the functionality available leaves purchasing this upgrade as a huge gamble. One I'm not willing to take, honestly.

I cannot do without this app now. I'm so spoiled to being able to turn on the music I want from the notification center without having to actually open the music app that I can't go back now. I also really like that it lets you use your own custom icons, and especially that it takes PNG files, so you can use an image that's partly transparent, and it will be transparent on the widget too. I definitely think upgrading to the Pro version is worth the $1.99, mainly because you can control the repeat and shuffle from the widget and don't have to open the music app, plus being able to have more than 8 and change the size of the icons.

I rarely pay for an app. This is a must have and along with the companion app Launcher I would have paid much more. Perfect for easy direct access to your top playlists. Set up was a little glitchy at first, may have been me trying to use to many icons, text under them and wanting the volume level all at same time. After I tried different combinations of features I found a setup that works wonderfully. These two apps together make notifications a real power house slide screen. So glad Apple let them bring such additional functionality to iPhone and iPad.
