California Road Report Review

With California Road Report you can view CHP incidents, CalTrans road conditions, chain control, and find rest stops in California on your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Apple Watch on the go!

**View CHP Incidents in areas nearby or from a list of selected areas in either list mode or map mode**
Each CHP incident reported contains the time of occurrence, location, and details of the incident.

**Hands-Free Mode - With hands-free mode, CHP incidents can now be spoken to you while you drive so you can keep your eyes on the road and still receive CHP reports (works on iOS 7.0 and above). (note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)

**Search for CalTrans road conditions on any given highway in California**
Ideal for checking chain requirements prior to driving in snowy conditions, knowing if there will be road work, or finding out if a particular stretch of the highway has been closed.

**Find out where chain control is being enforced during snow storms**
While in map view you can pan around the state of California to see where chain control is being enforced or scroll through a list of all chain control areas in California.

**Find nearby rest stops**
Need to take a break while on a long drive down the 5? Check out nearby rest stops and see their available amenities.

**See highway cameras**
See pictures from over 500 highway cameras in the state of California and also share them on Facebook, Twitter, eMail, and SMS.

This app is terrible it's like buying a clock with one hand. Southern California has received over two weeks of constant rain. A road names Topanga Cyn is approx 35 miles log the portion from the Pacific Coast Hwy to Ventura Blvd. sustained major damage because it goes through the mountains. Several huge boulders literary the size of a house estimated weighing a few thousand tons came down created much damage and had to be exploded to remove. That portion of the road has been closed for about 2 weeks and will not open until maybe next week. The app says it is open. I believed it and when a got a few miles down it was closed. Don't waste your time.

The app works well, and is easy to navigate. It provides multiple choices to get road and traffic info. The map function is great. I can't give it a 5 star rating because I just listened to the Chico CHP office close SR149 for 2 hours because of a bomb threat and the app never showed a single thing. It's probably because the agencies did not put the info out for the app to access. Still, this needs to be addressed by the programmers.

I'm happy you went back to showing the pins on map where there are traffic issues. This way I can see where the problems are before I get to that area instead of getting there then seeing the problem. I can avoid the area now when I see an accident. I also noticed the the map is messed up. Now it shows the whole US instead of my area. I can open it up but liked it better the way it way before the last update. Thank you
