The onTime app for LIRR was better than the MTA official app when I switched a year ago. This app is great in that it's simple to save favorite locations and overall easier to use. My biggest issue is that when a train is late, the lateness is not usually accurate in the app. I will be fair and state that this might not be the apps fault, but rather the data feed from the MTA. And last, I don't like how the app is so quick to revert to my default home station. Often I am reviewing other station options and the quick revert back to my home station is frustration. Fix these two things and it gets 5 stars.

In a rush to find out the next train I can take and I find that I can't get into the app without setting up alerts. In my desperation I'm trying to do so but the app just won't respond. Thanks for taking my most useful app and making it worthless. Had to fire up the laptop and now I've missed my train. Got 45 minutes to kill so this review is part of how I'll spend it. For future reference, don't disable your app with set up requirements. You should have a "remind me later" option.

This app used to be great. But since the last update, it no longer provides real time delay info. The train could be 15 minutes late, but immediately upon the scheduled departure time, the app will say "Left station. Next stop: ..." Why even bother with the "Left station" status if the app can't track delays real time? Useless, and very misleading for users until they figure out that the status updates are completely meaningless.
