Reviews from the Experts

Route4Me is an online service that tells you the most efficient route to complete all your errands; just put in the addresses, and let it work its magic.

Route4me optimizes your route when traveling to multiple destination... Route4me claims that routes are usually 25-35% shorter after being optimized.

...Instead of driving back and forth across town, or unknowingly taking the long way to run errands, you can map the fastest or shortest path with Route4Me.

The app could be particularly helpful for small business owners who regularly make multiple deliveries in a single trip.

Need to visit our vendor and a few clients this afternoon? You could eyeball the map to pick the best route, or you could do it the scientific way. Here’s a Web site that will find the most efficient route to all your destinations quickly and easily — complete with driving directions.

The app works alright. Unfortunately though, there are too many negatives: $10/month for unlimited use is way not worth it. Other apps charge half that or less and work just as good. The redeeming quality is that if you only need it for occasional use (less than 10 routes a month), you can use all the features for free. The app isn’t optimized for iPhone plus models. It’s 2017... and this app charges $10/month. For real? Squeezed between the 5 star reviews are too many other reviews from customers struggling with billing and being charged after canceling and other unethical problems with the company. Just go with a different app. Road Warrior, although not super intuitive, is half the price and has plenty of features. inRoute is less than half the price, fairly easy to use, and even offers the ability to pay $15 one time to access all their services for routes up to 25 stops (vs 100 stops for their $4 subscription). Lifetime use of 25 stops for $15 is probably the best deal for most people. You can even get around the limit by simply creating and saving multiple routes of 25 stops.

I am on the board of a nonprofit organization that delivers food weekly through the Summer months to the children of families who would otherwise be hungry. One of my responsibilities is creating and maintaining 12 delivery routes to approximately 200 families in our town. We struggled for five years using systems which let us to get by but created many operational difficulties and manual operations. Last year we discovered Route4Me and life has been changed forever. At the beginning of each summer, I export the addresses of all of my families into Route4Me, tell it, "Create 12 balanced routes across the city to feed these families.", and within minutes it is done. I can then export all of the surrounding results back into my own database in order to produce the necessary reports for full driver instructions. Each week there are new families who enroll, move out of town or around town, I export the changes to route4me and add, delete or move people around the routes for this week's deliveries. Is difficult to think of ways that it could be much better!

I use it to schedule customers. Only used it a couple of times. Love it so far. It has saved me a ton of time. I think the price is reasonable. UPDATE: Most horrible customer service I have ever experienced!! My company offered a routing program that is infinitely better. I have tried for several months to cancel. I've tried online and by phone. Online, they direct me to go other places to cancel. When you call and on hold for about 15 minutes, I was cut off by a recording which states that someone will contact me shortly. Although these tactics may not be illegal they are certainly unethical and are sure to tarnish the company brand.
