Originally I was forced to get this because Facebook wouldn’t let me use the messaging service from their mobile webpage. You would at least hope for a sturdy app with support for a diverse set of platforms if you’re forced to get it on many other platforms considered mobile (in my case Kindle and Samsung Galaxy View). This is not the case. Videos and some photos (Days) do not function on the two aforementioned tablet versions of the app, and instead crash it. Even on the iPhone version which I use more frequently, there are many reoccurring bugs and unnecessary features (such as the app recommending to me how I should reply to a message, leaving the selection of poor choices within misclick range; above the keyboard.) If it were a choice, I would simply not bother with this application and stick to the webpage messages.

I hate that in order to use messenger on Facebook on my phone or other mobile devices I’m required to have a second app that just wastes my storage space. I also hate that it gives me a badge notification for suggesting that I turn on the other notifications on my device and to allow it more access. I hate most of all that there is no direct contact to Facebook support and you have to navigate through the confusing and convoluted “help” community when you have an issue. The fact that I had to google feedback just to find the feedback page is ridiculous. Facebook no longer cares about anything other than people paying to use their site.

    1) You are pissing people right off with the invite to messenger feature! It sends it self easily by mistake and then you can’t cancel it it is you’re single most annoying feature. I am considering on installing messenger just to avoid that one feature. 2) AGAIN, please get rid of the active now feature that shows people when you are online and when you were last on online. It is such an intrusion and violation of privacy! If we're going to be forced to use this app, then at least listen to and address our concerns!

Not very impressed with the developers of Facebook or their Messenger app.! Sold out Windows Phones users by denying them these useful applications as I found out! Yet they can go forward promoting these on other software user phones! Why? I can no longer download or use Facebook or Messenger, unless I update to Windows 10 versions! While all these people on Android or IOS or whatever get the luxury of both worlds by having all the best featured apps on the app stores!
