For anyone else who has been frustrated by the unreliability of this app, its invasive glitches, and its incessant ads, delete this app and simply upgrade your iPhone to iOS 11 and use your phone’s stock camera to scan any QR code. An in plain sight but rarely mentioned feature of iOS 11 is that your iPhone’s camera is now capable of scanning all QR codes, regardless of the code’s function. Simply open up your camera and point it at the code and you will immediately receive a pop up notification forwarding you to the link or information the code intends. It works for all types of QR codes. Another plus to using your phone’s camera is that it will be one less app to take up space in your phone’s storage. Declutter and have less stress, because this app is not worth it. I’ve uninstalled.

Apple should really have included a QR reader add part of their standard utility. They didn't, so I've been using this app since version 1 and it has gotten a lot better with this be version. The only thing that would make this app a lot easier to use is to be able to integrate with iOS Control Center so I can launch it from there. As of now I'm still using an App Launcher but that is just buggy sometimes.

The banner ads at the bottom shrink the browser's vertical view space so it can't be used for accurate web page proofing. I have no problem with the ads being there, but think the mobile footer banners should overlay content rather than changing vertical content space. The developer replied quickly, I'm sure they'll look into it. The app works great if you don't do mobile web proofing.
