Google Play Top Charts in November 2019: Best Apps
Hosting nearly 3 million apps as of today, Google’s Play Store is the ultimate hub for Android app developers to make their presence felt, increase the number of users, and connect with their audience. On the one hand, this popularity showers you with unlimited possibilities and incredible freedom of choice. On the other hand, it also makes Google Play an attractive target for abuse.
A few weeks ago, for instance, Google officially confirmed that malicious apps had bypassed their security systems to access the official marketplace. As a result, users were tricked into installing threats on their devices. Even though the tech giant has already taken serious measures to catch bad apps before they hit the Play Store, you will no longer feel absolutely safe downloading and installing random apps from the Google Play Store.
Luckily, if you follow our Best Android Apps of the Month chart on a regular basis, you get the chance to find exactly what you need — and steer clear of any malicious software. Let’s look through the apps you should consider downloading this month and analyze the dynamics of your preferences in November.
These are the greatest apps you should consider installing immediately this October.

The first four places of this month’s chart remain stably unchanged. It’s only natural — the holiday season is just around the corner, so why would you want to spend time looking for something new when you can make the most of your all time favorite apps. Therefore, YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook Lite, and Google Chrome keep holding on to their leading positions firmly and steadily. Needless to say, these apps are incredibly intuitive and 100% free — some more benefits contributing to their massive and unbeatable popularity.
Facebook’s Messenger Lite and Telegram have politely switched positions in our November’s chart. The former has jumped one position up, while the latter has lost one point to its rival. Nothing too grandiose, just two popular apps performing the usual power-struggle dance in front of their target audience. Similar to the previous month’s chart, Messenger Lite has surpassed its powerful but heavy brother. It doesn’t surprise us. Who needs to overcomplicate things when Christmas is all around.
Positions from seven to ten of this month’s Best Android Apps chart haven’t changed a bit — so much for the end of fall and new beginnings they say it brings. In any case, Messenger, BlockSite, Google Photos, and Facebook continue occupying their seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth position, respectively.
BlockSite is worth dwelling upon in more detail here. It’s a free and intuitive app to help you block websites on Google Chrome — to prevent your kid from visiting sites you don’t want them to see or to eliminate your own tendency to wander off course whenever you need to focus on your work. There are tons of similar apps, but BlockSite is easy and 100% reliable. No wonder it resides in the noble upper part of our Best Android Apps of November 2019 list.
When it comes to the second part of our November chart, exploring the dynamics of your preferences won’t bring us anything impressively new either. Swiggy has gained one more point since its October triumph, cementing itself as a superb app of a highly popular food delivery service. SHAREit has moved three positions up, having gained the reputation of one of the best free WiFi file sharing apps on the scene.
Personal stickers for WhatsApp, Gmail, Xender, and Google Play services have lost one tiny position each. These losses are minor, so they can easily match (or surpass) their October success stories next month. Sticker maker and MyJio, the charming newbies of the last month, are gradually going up the ladder of their success in our chart, occupying the sixteenth and seventeenth position, respectively. Slow progress is steady progress, we believe.
There’s only one brand new app within our November chart. It’s Mercado Pago — an online payment service and one of Latin America's most popular online secondhand marketplaces. The Mercado Pago app allows you to easily send and receive payments right from your Android gadget. Such a handy addition to our chart now that it’s time to buy lots of Christmas presents… That’s about it. Let’s wait and see how things will shake out for our chart residents next month.
