Trust us, they are all worth your while. Some apps have been fixtures on our list for some time now, but we have some new entrants too. This is a perfect time to kit out your Android smartphones with the best apps available on the Google Play store. Check out these useful treasures from the Google store and enjoy doing interesting stuff with your device in this spooky holiday season.
|6||Google Chrome: Fast & Secure|
|11||YouTube for Android TV|
|12||imo free video calls and chat|
|14||Personal stickers for WhatsApp|
Rappi, Inc - Delivery
|19||Swiggy Food Order & Delivery|
|20||Google Play services|
The app clinching the top spot is YouTube, in fact, we have four apps on our list this time from the YouTube family. Undeniably, it is the most popular streaming service for all types of content. This platform has become so enormously big with surging popularity that there are multiple YouTube apps to watch, listen, and stream anything you want. The service also helps brands to find new ways to inspire and engage their audience. YouTube has beaten its competitors like Netflix as a go-to-streaming platform as “With me” videos like “Exercise with me” or “Cook with me” are getting popular.
Coming back to the top five, while YouTube and WhatsApp maintained their top positions, we have a surprise for you. Interestingly, Telegram has jumped ten places up to acquire the third spot and kicked out Google Chrome from the fortunate five list. It also pushed YouTube Go and Facebook Lite to fourth and fifth places, respectively. It seems a lot of people have joined Telegram recently. One of the key reasons could be a surge in first-time users in Hong Kong amid recent protests. Or the users might be exhausted with other social media apps and want to try a new platform. Keeping these reasons aside, Telegram is still one of the widely used apps because of its features. It is available on every platform, including Windows and Linux, and supports file-sharing of any type and size. As compared to other messenger apps, it offers more security. Its secret chat feature does not allow forwarding, leaves no traces on servers, and supports self-destructing messages. Telegram has cloud storage, so no need to worry about backup and restore. They can log in and out multiple times from as many devices as they like. Even the latest versions support voice calls. These awesome advantages are compelling enough to attract users who need an app having a fresh feel with great features.
With Google Chrome securing the sixth spot, Messenger Lite also jumps one place up to get the seventh position followed by Messenger on the eighth. This Month we say Goodbye to Lark Player, SHAREit, Xender, Sticker Maker, and Play Lite for YouTube — the competition has been pretty fierce, but we may see them on our charts in the future. BlockSite snatched the ninth spot and kicked Google Photos one place down.
YouTube for Android TV is the new entry ruling the eleventh spot, followed by imo which moved five places up and took Facebook’s twelfth position. Similarly, Personal Stickers for WhatsApp showed improvement in its ranking and secured fourteenth place.
Google must be really happy: YouTube apps are tough contenders on our charts, and at the same time, Gmail and YouTube kids have made a grand entry on the fifteenth and sixteenth positions. We could only say that no other alternative can offer features like Gmail or compete close enough to threaten its monopoly. Similarly, YouTube Kids is a separate version of the leading video streaming app offering family-friendly content for children.
It really feels great to have new apps this month, keeping the competition fresh and relevant. Rappi has joined us on the seventeenth spot, finally, we have some competition for the Indian delivery app Swiggy Food Order & Delivery that fell to the nineteenth position. While these two are almost neck and neck, Mercado Pago has disrupted our charts from the payments industry. The app simplifies the daily payments making it easier for you to pay and receive money with your cell phones. Among other interesting features, it also notifies you about promotions from different stores. We simply love how it makes online purchasing convenient, but you need to check if your country is included among the areas served.
Last but not least, Google Play Services lost almost six spots and moved to the last position. We seriously doubt it will leave the list next time as the charts are dominated by Google apps.
