How To Turn Off Siri On iOS Devices on Freepps Top Blog

Siri, which stands for “Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface,” is a favorite personal assistant of a lot of users. The feature became available on the majority of iOS devices in 2011.

It can help you facilitate the process of looking up information and selecting various tasks. However, Siri can certainly get quite annoying, and if you don’t find it useful, you can always turn it off.

In this tutorial, you will find out how to disable Siri for the entire device, turn off “Hey Siri,” and prevent the use of this feature on the lock screen of your devices.

How to turn off Siri

Turning off Siri in the Settings of your iPhone

If you decided that you don’t want to get help from Siri in any form, you can simply:

  1. Go to Settings and select General.
  2. Tap the Turn off Siri toggle.

As you can see, the entire process of turning off Siri is quick and easy.

How to deactivate “Hey Siri”

You can easily disable “Hey Siri” in the same Settings menu mentioned previously. Simply tap the “Hey Siri” toggle, and the feature won’t bother you anymore.

It should be noted that if you use the devices, such as iPad Pro, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE, you can directly speak to the device by saying “Hey Siri,” and you don’t need to connect it to the power source.

If you use any other devices, they have to be connected if you want to enable the feature.
