Special Forces Group 2 is a mobile video game developed by ForgeGames. It is a first-person shooter, which creators were clearly inspired by the legendary Counter-Strike franchise. You can download Special Forces Group 2 and play something similar to the famous Valve game using your Android or iOS device.

Graphics – 4.5/5

Special Forces Group 2 not only feels like a Counter-Strike clone. It also looks very similar to the original. Actually, it even uses some CS weapon models, including almost legendary sniper rifle AW50. Level design is also not so original; the strong influence of Counter-Strike can be seen in each map structure. On the other hand, this game can be played on phones and tabs, and for this purpose, the in-game graphics are good enough.

Gameplay – 5/5

Special Forces Group 2 gameplay is also made according to the CS formula. The whole thing is about team cooperation and precise shooting skills. However, the game still can please you with something new, thanks to a variety of game modes. We have to say that in addition to the traditional Team Deathmatch mode (with bots or other players online), there are many other modes.

There is a zombie mode, flag capture mode, bomb disposal, and others. Also, there are different maps for each mode, 18 in total. Every mode can be played with bots (AI-operated rivals). But if you want to get the full spectrum of emotions from this game, you have to play online match-ups. It is really interesting to battle against real players.

Another strength that has to be mentioned in our Special Forces Group 2 review is that in your gun catalog there are not only all the weapons from Counter-Strike, but much more. Unlike other games, Special Forces Group 2 makes all the weapons available from the very beginning of the game. You can choose from a huge diversity of guns, sniper rifles, pistols, and machine guns.

Controls – 5/5

In the case of Special Forces Group 2 controls, everything is intuitive. Movement control buttons are situated on the left side of the screen, while the buttons for aiming, jumping and reloading can be found on the right side. Also, you have to aim manually using the touchpad before starting to shoot. There were no complains about the control system from the players community, but you have to spend a couple of hours on becoming a real danger for your opponents.

Replay Value – 5/5

In order to answer the question about Special Forces Group 2 replay value, let’s ask ourselves: what is the replay value of Counter-Strike? And here is only one answer possible: this game is endless. And not because it has everyday updates and tons of content. The secret lies in the unique experience with a quite simple formula: a clash of two rival teams who want to eliminate each other, or to complete other tasks to win. Special Forces Group 2 implemented this idea in full, so you can’t stop trying yourself against real players.

Conclusion

A really nice example of a Counter-Strike clone which doesn’t try to hide its nature. Yes, we know that it is not an original approach. However, Special Forces Group 2 gives a chance to refresh one’s memory bringing back those old days. On the other hand, it still can be friendly met by newcomers who never played Counter-Strike. It is time, soldier, the bomb clock is already ticking. Download Special Forces Group 2 from the catalog and try to stop the chaos. Or become a part of it.
