The game’s graphics is amazing, the animation is incredibly detailed and the characters look exactly as in the TV show. So the game repeats the cartoon in everything from shapes to voices. Therefore, you’ll hear all well-known dialogues from the show and see the same characters’ moves as there.
The storyline is about Homer Simpson who works as a security officer at a nuclear power plant in Springfield. One day while he was playing on his tablet, as usual, an explosion warning happened, but he didn’t pay any attention to it. So, as a result, one of the nuclear reactors exploded and destroyed the entire city. Well, you might think that nobody has survived, but all townsfolk stayed alive.
Thus now, after this situation happened, they are waiting for you to rebuild Springfield so that they can return. You play as Homer, and he is not the nicest example of an honest man, so the city rebuilding is pretty much up to you. Before you start playing you will see a short video that briefly explains the storyline mentioned above.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is not just about building your city it also has various quests that complete the storyline attached to them. Moreover, playing this game requires some real-time expenditure meaning that you can pick a mission that needs 6 hours for execution, exit the game, come back later and be surprised that the task is done. There is also a special in-game currency called donuts. You can earn them doing various tasks or purchase for real money. These donuts allow you to buy more content or speed up the game process.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out is all about typing. So prepare your fingers to tap hard. You will have to use controls to rebuild Springfield from scratch, add new characters, create and decorate everything on the go. However, it might feel like there is a lack of control options in the game and also the touchscreen managing can be inconvenient when you’re trying to grab and move objects around because it’s hard to push on the correct thing.
